Sing any song and get a score
Every published song can be sung: its words light up as they are sung, a line shows the singer’s notes, and your voice is drawn over it with a score.
-
On a song or a hook in Hooks, swipe left (or tap Sing on the rail). In the player and the song menu, it is Sing it.
-
Slide to the part you want, the chorus for instance: the button says Sing from 0:42.
-
Headphones keep the song out of your microphone, so the score hears only you. Press Sing: Get ready counts you in, and you can pause any time.
-
The line shows the notes; your voice draws over it as you sing. Stay on it, and follow the words as they light up.
-
When you stop, your take comes back with its score: how much of your singing stayed on the notes. Listen to your take to hear yourself.
-
Save to My vocals keeps the take to listen to again; all your takes are in My vocals. Sing a few seconds every day to keep your streak going.
Pro tips
- Start on the chorus: it is short and repeats, the fastest way to improve.
- Sing it, then film it: Film a hook records you singing over the song and posts it.
Your turn
Open Vocals and do it for real: it takes a minute.
