Sing
Create songs with your own voice.
Record yourself singing once, and Vocals sings your songs in your voice, in any style. Or hum a melody, and it becomes a part.
Try it nowAdd your voice to the mix.
Record yourself singing for 30 seconds to a minute and a half, or upload a recording. Sing something close to the songs you want to make: a song you know by heart works best.
Hear yourself in any style.
Choose your voice on Create, then write the lyrics and the style as for any song. It comes back sung in your voice.
For your use only.
Nothing is kept until you consent. Your recording is checked, then only you can use the voice: it’s never shown or shared, and you can delete it any time.
Hum it. Get the track.
Sing a melody, hum a rhythm or beatbox over your song. Vocals turns it into a part that fits, on any instrument.
- A melody becomes a lead; a rhythm plays the drums or the chords.
- In time and in key, with every note yours to change.
- Or keep the take as audio, cleaned up in one step you can undo.
Words that fit the tune.
Ask for lyrics and Vocals writes them for your song: its mood, its sections, one syllable for every note.
- A line to sing: no vocal line yet? Vocals writes one first, in a singer’s range.
- On the notes: each syllable sits on its note in the piano roll.
- Yours to change: edit any word and Vocals fits it again.
- You sing them: the vocal line plays on a sung “aah”, a guide for you to record over.
How do I make my voice?
On Create, choose Voice, then record yourself singing for at least 30 seconds, or upload a recording of only you singing, with no music behind it. It’s checked, you name it, and it’s ready.
What makes a good recording?
A quiet room, a song you know by heart and close to the songs you want to make, and your phone 15 to 30 cm from your face. The more you perform, the better it sounds.
Who can use my voice?
Only you. It’s never shown or shared, and you can delete it any time: its recording is deleted too, and songs already sung in it stay as they are.
How many voices can I keep?
Up to five.
Can I use someone else’s voice?
No. Before anything is kept you confirm the recording is only your own voice, and you consent to Vocals processing it to sing your songs.
Do I need to sing well?
No. Vocals moves your pitch into the song’s key and your rhythm onto the beat, so a rough hum is enough. You can fix any note afterwards.
What can I hum?
A melody becomes a lead on any instrument. A rhythm, like “tch, ka-tch”, becomes drums (kick, snare and hats) or plays the song’s chords.
Which microphone do I need?
The one in your phone, laptop or headphones works. Wear headphones while you sing over a song, so it doesn’t leak into your take.
