Write descriptions like a pro
A great description is not long: it names the right things. Producers think in six layers. Give Vocals a word or two for each and the song comes out the way you hear it.
-
The genre sets almost everything else: the drums, the instruments, the tempo. Be specific: deep house says more than “electronic”.
-
One or two words for the feeling: dreamy, late-night, uplifting. Mood decides the chords and the sounds.
-
Pick the sounds you want to hear first: warm Rhodes, punchy 808s, soft strings. More than three and they start to fight.
-
A number of BPM or a key, like 100 BPM in A minor, pins the groove down. Leave it out and Vocals picks what suits the genre.
-
Ask for a shape: a quiet intro that builds, a big chorus, a fade-out ending.
-
Say who sings and what about: breathy female vocal, about driving home at dawn. The story is what the words are written from.
Build a description

Pro tips
- Use Write it with AI (the wand in the box) to turn three words into a full description, then edit it.
- A song came out well? Reuse in its menu brings its idea back into Create, to try a twist on it.
- Same description, different song: press Create again for another take, or raise Surprise for bolder turns.
